Here we work in traditional color photographic paper, toned to print directly from color negatives — a process that is as much chemistry as it is choice. By adjusting the color of our lights and the filters on the lens, we shift and layer hue across the frame, letting temperature and light bend the portrait into something more fluid and expressive. The result is an aura of color that moves with the sitter, rather than simply describing them.
